I saw something online about someone making a fisheye lens out of a camera film canister and a peep hole. I haven't had a film canister in forever so I used a bottle lid. It fit better on my camera anyway.

I didn't glue mine in place or anything, but you definitely could. It might be a good idea at this point to paint the inside of your cap black so it's nice and dark when you look through your camera. I didn't and there's a bit of a blue ring around the edge where the light kinda goes through the plastic.

Does this work for digital cameras?

Cavale, I have a Canon Powershot with a zoom lens.
Here's a link:
http://www.intersys.gr/downloads/images/large/PowerShot_A400-green.jpg

I got the peephole at a hardware store (HomeDepot, Lowes) and there's different viewing degrees you can choose from. I think mine is 160°.

Ooo I really gotta try this! The only problem is that I don't know what to use instead of a bottle cap; I have a SLR so I need something much bigger! Any ideas?

sookie, maybe your could try to find a plastic cup at a 2nd hand shop that fits the circumference you need and cut to the length you need to hold onto your lense. it won't matter if it's tapered (most cups are) just as long as some part of it fits well around your lense without being too far away so you don't have to zoom in too close to get the image from the peephole.
