Elastic Ring

  • Completed Project: Elastic Ring Picture #1

Elastic Ring made of 14kt gold beads

This is a very simple ring. I made it from gold beads my mother gave to me. She had a similar ring before, it broke, and I tried to repair it...

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Get your materials. I used 14kt gold beads with a 3 mm diameter and transparent elastic thread (0.5 mm in diameter), about 25 cm for a medium ring size.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Place one bead in the middle of the thread

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Add two more beads and keep them centered on the thread.
Take a fourth bead and thread your elastic wire through it from both sides (see picture).
You get a small diamond shape.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Go on like this:
put one bead on each of the two thread ends, then take a third and thread the wire from both sides through. then again two beads...
Go on until the "ring" is long enough to fit around your finger.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

For finishing take one bead on each thread end again and thread both ends through the very first bead from step 1.
Make a knot - and then you're finished.
