Easy To Make Hair Scrunchies

These scrunchies are super easy to make with just a strip of stretch knit fabric, elastic hairband, and a little sewing! Make them to match your outfits or solid colors to match anything, the sky's the limit!

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    1- Cut (1) 4"x23" strip of stretchy fabric.
    2- sew the ends right sides together
    You should now have a loop.
    3-Fold the long edges together, (wrong )sides meeting.Fold in about an inch on each edge and pin together, continue pinning all the way around, folding in as you go.
    Leave a space to insert elastic band.

  2. Step 2

    4- Cut a piece of elastic hairband 11" long. I use the kind that is encased in fabric, You can get these at the dollar store.
    5-Insert elastic band all the way through scrunchie with a safety pin and pull both ends up and tie a tight knot.
    6-Push knot inside scrunchie and sew up the end.
    By doing it this way, there's no turning involved.
    All done! Enjoy your new scrunchie!
