1. 

   

   With the napkin completely opened out and the colored or patterned side down, fold all four corners of the napkin to the center. Fold the lower corner to the upper corner.
   
   

2. 

   

   Fold the upper corner down to the lower edge.
   
   




3. 

   

   On the right side, fold the sharp point inward one third of the distance to the center.

4. 

   

   Open out the upper layers of this point and squash-fold it into a diamond shape.
   
   




5. 

   

   Using the natural hinge crease of the diamond, carefully swivel the outer half of the napkin behind while folding the inner half across to the right. The diamond disappears underneath.
   
   

6. 

   

   Step 5 completed. The X-ray lines show the position of the small diamond section.
   
   

7. 

   

   Repeat steps 3 through 6 on the left side. Fold both outer vertical edges toward the center, making sure that the two diamonds slightly over lap. Flatten all the creases.

8. 

   

   Place the utensils inside the pocket created by the horizontal fold made in step 2 to complete the dessert server.
