Simple and sweet gift for any holiday.

Candy, candy, candy, candy!

This was originally my aunt's idea, which I've taken and adapted for a ton of different occasions. I've made dozens with glasses, mugs and even bowls, most that I found at the thrift store.

Try making them for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

They tend to make whoever you're giving them to very, very happy!

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Push the bamboo skewer into the Styrofoam ball, all the way through the top. Put it in the glass to and push down until the ball is snug in the glass.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Snip off the excess skewer with your scissors.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

With the skewer still in the glass, fill the bottom of with candy. Ideas are M&Ms, Hershey Kisses or Peppermints (though you could really use any candy). Another option is shredded paper, but the candy on the ball will make the cup top-heavy, so having a heavier filler keeps it from tipping over and gives the gifted a sweet bonus.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Place a small dot of hot melt glue on either side of the rim of the cup. Gently press the ball to the glue until it sets.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Use greening pins to add candy to ball by poking pins through the loose end near the twist of the candy wrapper.

***note- greening pins are available with the floral supplies at your local hobby store***

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Start at the bottom and work up to the top, going in circles. Depending on the candy, you can get two or three on each pin.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

One round done, from the top

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

    two rounds done

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

Fill in any holes with more candy & floral pins.

  10. Step 10
