A makeup look inspired by the ancient Egyptians.

Instructions

  1. 1

First thing you need to do is prepare your face base. This provides the base for the makeup to go on.

  2. Step 2 2

Our first step to adding colours is using our narrow brush, slightly dampened, to create a thick line of blue. I used Nº 81 by Barry M, but you can use any turquoise eyeshadow that you have. Make sure it has a nice flick at the end.

  3. Step 3 3

Our next step is adding a line of gold above our lashline. The flick at the end of this line needs to be the same length as the blue flick. To make this line, use the same brush (or your second, if using more than one!) as before, slightly dampened. I used Nº 24 by Barry M for this (Old Gold)
You could also use a gold liquid eyeliner.

  4. Step 4 4

Now we take a bit more of the gold on our damp brush, and bring it around the tear duct, making a little point which follows the natural curve of your eye. Take a little bit more gold, and brush it lightly along our lower lashes, and the skin just underneath them, as close as you can get to the lashes themselves. Blend this line into your gold flick.

  5. Step 5 5

Our final step is adding mascara, and liberally applying black eyeliner pencil to our lower waterline. Seriously, don't worry about putting too much on, so long as it stays neat, you can make it as dark as you like.

    Ta-da! All done. :)
