What to make from tie scraps?

I just bought a bunch of men's ties at a thrift shop, and got a bunch from my fiance's mom so I can make some tie skirts. I'm going to have tons of scraps left over that I don't want to throw out.
I've thought about making some quilted belts out of some of the scraps, but I don't want to make 30 belts, lol.

What other projects would be good to make with the scraps? I was thinking scrunchies and hair bows as well but want to make some more odd accessories.
Any thoughts?

I used silk ties last year to dye my easter eggs. They turned out super pretty and I loved them. I've also seen someone take a tie and make a cute stuffed snake, a sunglass case and a wallet. I've also used ties to make scarves and necklaces.

Hi very new here. I use ties all the time for purses, purse straps, bracelets, eyeglass case. I even made a lampshade cover.

Hm... Easter eggs, I can't see myself doing but I do like the snake, case, and purse ideas!

You can use belts or ties to make a criss-cross weave for a chair bottom.

You can use the larger end of the tie as a cell phone case.(probably in the same vein as the eyeglass case) Fold the triangle over and attach with a loop and button or velcro. Make a loop with some of the tie to attach it to your purse or belt loop. I've seen rugs and quilt blocks made with them, in addition to skirts, vests, headbands, woven chair seats. Hope that helped.

Easter egg tutorial. I wanted to try it but I just could not make myself use a tie for a one time purpose, ya know?

I've been working on a version of the tie wallet for about a week now on and off. It looked pretty klutzy so I've ripped it out and started over at this point. Maybe I'll get it posted in this life.

This would be cool adapted into a steampunk look:

I also saw some very cute cuff bracelets from "scraps". Makes me realize I need to re-vamp my design and save bigger scraps.

Stitch them together patchwork style and sew resulting fabric into a tube(if you have some pointed ends put them on the bottom of strips and make a windsock. Cut and shape a plastic coated hanger to make the wired top of the sock. Add eyelets. strings and a swivel hook( a fishing staple) and let 'er fly

Medium kitteh guards the sewing machine
