Hmmm...probably bears or elephants or cat because usually the babies have no idea what they are and I prefer bear it is really easy to make and besides babies love them ..and make sure the plushie is really soft!! Happy

You could really do any animal, just dont make it all blue or pink. You could use like a minky fabric or fleece in soft pastel colors. Yellow or green works well for both genders. My son loved the fleece blocks when he was little. They were in bold colors: red, black, and white.

Purple and green are my two favorite colors for young kids and babies because they're more gender neutral than pink and blue.
Bunnies, teddy bears, and puppy toys are a good start. Use a good cotton material as cotton is hypoallergenic (polyester can cause rashes and other allergic reactions; cotton is all natural and safer for sensitive skin). Cotton flannels make for snuggly stuffed toys.

I've been wanting to make a Veveteen or White rabbit for my little one through my whole pregnancy- I just haven't found a pattern I liked yet.
