Make a Wallpaper Leaves Garland in #ShopShowcase with Cambridge Community Scrapstore.

How did you get started?

Cambridge Community Scrapstore is run by Cambridge City Council. We collect donations of unwanted materials from local businesses and the wider community that can be repurposed as affordable arts, crafts and play materials. We started off by having pop up Scrapstore events in local community centres around Cambridge where people could come and fill a bag with a range of unique and creative materials. We now have our own unit where we run Scrapstore as a shop that is open weekly on Wednesdays 6pm-7.30pm and once a month on a Saturday 1.30pm-3.00pm

Where are you located?

We are currently located on Barnwell Business Park in Cambridge. There are a wide range of businesses around us from glass to graphic printing as well as a few art studios.

Which products do you specialise in?

A huge range of recycled arts, crafts and play materials. Our members use the materials for a range of school, community and individual projects working with children, young people and the wider public. Prices start from £1 to fill a bag of scrap materials.

Do you have a particular favorite product that you sell?

Our wallpaper books are particularly beautiful and versatile for a range of projects from book covers to hanging decorations.

What's on the stereo?

Depends on the staff. Usually something mellow to create a relaxed atmosphere for browsing.
