Hi there. I think the ideas you have for your hat are brilliant. The batons is inspired. You sound like me. I get carried away with ideas. Last time I did that it was stripes....erm think you can see that in my projects....LOL

Hiyah, I used the mad hatter base for my fascinator hat. It's a simple basic shape but I found that I needed to put something big on the side of the brim to balance up the height of the hat. Check out the photo, you will see what I mean. Cool idea to give it a music theme. You could use some plectrums as part of the design Happy

Hi & thanks for the friend add Happy I go to second hand charity shops. They have rag bags which they send off for recycling. The garments that are damaged they can't sell. So I ask if I can have a look through them for materials. They usually give me them for nothing. I like to make a donation though for the charity. It's a really cheap way to get fabric Happy

Hi, thank you for adding my victorian corset to your faves. I have limited places I can get supplies so I tend to recycle fabrics. The corset doesn't take a lot of fabric and I found that curtain lining is cheap and strong enough for the inner lining. The boning and eyelets were the most expensive things to buy, but even with them I spent less than £12 on materials Happy
