Poker chips?

I went junk shopping the other day and bought a box of poxer chips that brings about a 100 , i thought maybe i can make something creative out of them but so far i cant really think of anything nice , maybe some ideas can really help me on my quest of creativity , please and thank you ! Happy

you just reminded me that I have some hidden in my craft corner...tucked away...far in the back...cause I have no clue on what to use them for. lol I shall wait patiently with you for ideas too! lol

pins, clock [the numbers] earings, art stuff, cuff, make button [put 4 holes in it, like a shirt button], stuff.. some other stuff

A poker chip pin ? sounds kinda wired , i guess if you decorate it maybe , the button idea sounds cool but i dont think i can handle more buttons , the earring idea would be good for someone who likes big earrings but im simple and go for the little earrings that no one see's but know are there , i dont care much for time but a clock would be cool sort of funny , but still not my thing ........ i guess poker chips were made to be poker chips , i wish i could melt them , i tried melting one and it wouldn't melt i read the package a while after and it said something about being durable and not melting but i bet their has to be some that do melt , oh well ill keep looking for ideas , im sure their has to be something , thanks anyways Happy

i saw the poker chip brooch on this website and well , it kinda looks to casino-ish and i dont want it to be so obvious that it is a poker chip , i tried to make a flower but i didnt look to much like a flower because they are so big , the mirror thing sounds intresting but still not my thing , i'll just keep looking for ideas , thanks anyways Happy

It's kitsch fashion. Bit kooky bit weird, the point is for it to be an item you wouldn't expect to be a brooch but if you're not into it then that's ok. You could paint them I suppose. You could also stick piles of them together and make a weird dish. Putting them in the oven might melt them, I don't know if that would be safe, might release a load of toxins :S

i think i'll try to paint them but they have bumps and writing so the will still show even if i paint them , the only question is what will i paint on them , im not a good painter , i think the best i could do is a line and not even a straight one , Happy

Have you thought about decopauging (ick yea I know I can't spell that word) them? Maybe something retro or vintage on one side with the chip left as it is on the other side? How big are the chips? If they are smaller you could add some cute dice and make a great charm bracelet. If they are the bigger ones get some shiny jewels, or flowers and have fun with the hot glue gun!

make a flapper girl dress get a dress then drill holes into the chips get a hand needle and sew them on not to tight to the fabric though as it wont create that lovely sound oh oh or you could make one of those shakira booty scarves or whatever their called

make bookends!!! take two peices of fairly stable, but thin, wood and paint it (make them look like cards if your taltenedHappy) and than one the other side glue them randomly in a pile with a hot glue gun, so the chips have more that the bottom than the topHappy hehee i want poker chips now... Happy
