Christmas time is drawing near

and I need some gift Ideas, so i"m going to use this thread to get some help! My Goal this year is to give out all hand made gifts (accept for the kids XD)

Here's some people I'm stumped on:

-My Best friend, she sews so she can sew almost anything she wants, I've made her clay jewelry before so I don't want to do that again. She's super big into Anime, and she is a college student who is very busy. -Deathnote Necklace, still need more Ideas though Happy

-My Sister, College student, loves anime, cyber punk or rave wear, My little pony, is in college,

-Her ^ Roommate, who is also a pretty good friend. Loves pink, Kawaii, Hello Kitty, Anime, MLP, is in college

-Her ^ Boyfriend, Here I'm looking for something for my hubby to be the catalyst in giving. He likes pretty much the same as above.

I'll probably add more later

People whose gifts have been discovered

-My mom-Getting a couch cushion(throw pillow)

-My Dad -Wallet/Money Clip

-Pastor & Family & Stepdaughters Family- Homemade baskets with a few Kid friendly items thrown in

For your best friend why not make a death note necklace out of felt? would be really easy but cute and unique
your mom: Maybe a cushion? or knit a throw?

Your dad: why not something he can use at work? Like a desk tidy or a wallet... I dunno, I always find dads hard, but I never go wrong with sock Tongue
Not a clue about the others, hope I've helped, good luck!

As you want to make something useful for your pastor and family, why not make a table runner and/or placemats. These could even be christmas themed.

This year for people I don't know their likes/dislikes very well (maybe this could be for your pastors family) I am doing a Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix with some also homemade peppermint marshmallows in the shapes of snow flakes Happy
For people I know like coffee I am just buying a local brand's holiday flavors, one for each person, and then making cute sugar cubes in the shapes of little hearts and also I am crocheting a set of coasters for each person too, but you could sew them some instead!

Homemade treats are always a hit especially when you add in a personal cards ^_^

this was the closest I could find where your don't have to buy at least 50 000 :s
I think your best bet is to nom on some cheap ice cream so you can use the tubs... Also you could go down to your local recycling department and see if you can get some ice cream tubs there

These can be made in batches and look really cute as table decorations or even hung from spring.

I'd really well at the thrift store yesterday and picked up 10C apron pattern and about 2 1/2 yards of "America the beautiful"
So I'm making aprons as their easy to post.

If you know how to can, homemade spaghetti sauce or applesauce would be amazing you could even include a box of wheat pasta to make it more *gourmet*. I have a tut. on making applesauce if you're interested.
My sister in law made homemade vanilla extract for everyone along with spaghetti sauce and we really enjoyed it. I can find the tut on making the vanilla if you want just pm me.
As for the baby, I made my nephew a picnic basket of felt food last Christmas and he still plays with it everyday. We also gave out homemade bath salts (easier then it sounds), chocolate covered pretzel sticks, homemade coffee soap, and home blended dried tea along with homemade dried cocoa mix.
