Monster Bag Needs Straps

I made my version of the monster bag but forgot to put on the straps ( like the kind on a back pack)

How would I add them now?

I think that you would have to cut out and sew your straps (whatever style you wanted) and havr them all finished, then pin them to the back of your bag the the area you want them and hand sew them on.

The fabric you've used looks to be pretty strong and durrable. Just make sure when you do sew them on that you sew about a 1.5 inch rectangle down the strap and then sew an X through it. This helps to distibute the weight and pull of the straps.

depending on how the top closes, you could put the finished straps inside on the sides and sew them on in the x pattern.

hi lady... i love the material on that monster beauty bag... well you need cut ONE STRIPE ..take youre measure or large since youre shoulder to the end (where you want that exactly hang your bag) well dont cut ...add 2 cms on every end on the stripe...open the tape of youre bag and put youre stripe under(one end on the left and another end on the right) ...then use your sew machine for sew every end ...forming a kind of "X" then around the contour of that "X" sew a rectangle..

I would sew them really obviously to the outside of the bag, with an X in a square sewing pattern thingy

I've made the straps and have contemplated sewing them on I really really REALLY don't want to hand sew qwah qwah qwah so tedious. But I know I have to unless I want to take the whole thing apart:/
You can tell I'm not much of a sewer...who forgets to put straps on a bag?

That sounds like a really great idea but with the amount of junk that I carry I'm not sure it would hold up. I'll probably add it for reinforcement and next time I'll remember to sew on the straps wha ha haTongue
