I have a box of a little more then 1000 zippers. Any Ideas?

So I enharited this huge box of a little over a thousand zippers. All brand new. All different sizes, widths, and colors. Any ideas of what I can do with them?

Maybe make a bag out of them. Just sew them on a base-fabric. Or make a zipperbracelet. There is a How-To on the site.
Or if you want too, you can donate some to me ;-) I don't have zippers and they are expensive to buy. So I never really made something with a zipper.

Zipper flowers, then make them into rings, hairbands and hairclips. These sell like hotcakes Happy

i agree with all of the above. there are quite a few things you can make with them.. like the zipper bracelet or flower.. also make cute zipper pouches with some scrap fabric! you can add them to clothes/make clothes.
and just as dragonfly says.. zippers can be pricey and hard to come by. since you have soo many, why not try donating to some people on here or make a swap out of it? on the swap boards.. there is a post where you can request a swap partner and you discuss the specifics. tell them you can trade some zippers for a certain craft supply you need/want! heck, if you're interested i'll trade with you! :] i have some zippers of my own already but they are all the same size.. i really need some smaller ones :p
i've got a good amount of art supplies too so if you are interested you can send me a private message and we'll do it!
i'm sure maybe dragonfly would even be interested too?

You are lucky, and I am jealous. I have tons and tons of buttons, but no zippers, and I've really been wanting to make some of my famous cosmetics bags but I haven't had zippers in a long time.

Maybe we could have a swap if you need buttons!

I love zipper flowers!

You could also add them to a fabric journal, or make fun peel-a-boo books/toy for little ones.

with a 1000 you could probably make a full outfit!
not to mention the amount of patience you'd need though,
I'd love to make zipper bags but I wouldn't have the skill or patience :/
