Hair extension holder

I have a few synthetic hair extensions that just lay around in a holder or on a counter, and it seems so no matter what, they find a way to get tangled or messy.

Anyone know any ways that I store them?
(I'd really like to store them near my jewlery, which is all hanging up on a mesh jewlery organizer.)

I just bought an over the door rack with some hooks at Target. I think it's supposed to be for towels or jackets or something. but I found that it works really well for hair extensions (most of mine are on elastics like ponytails, so I just hang them from that).

Mine are the ones with the clips at the top, sewn into the track.
