umm, I'm stuck... Get me out!!!

I purchased a dress from JC Penny's, unfortunately, the bust is to small, it was on clearance and i could not get another size(it is lime green, how could i say NO?). So I proceeded to get the dress bring it home and cut the top off. So I decided to make another top for it. I used McCalls pattern M5094. I am putting a corset back on the dress, and i have beaded the top of the top i made to match the bottom of the dress... MY PROBLEM: I did not put straps on the top.. I do not like spaghetti type straps... I am to busty to have something so ahhhhh, flimsy to help support the girls. So, I am looking for ideas, I was thinking a ruffle around the bust area of the top that will go around my dress... I am at a loss here......... P.s. the big ugly rhinstone flowers on the dress have been removed and replaced with lime and silver sequins and silver beads. Oh yeah, this is my wedding dress, very untraditional, yes i know. I am wearing a mini top hat and a version of shoes that i found on here, which i will post. Does any one have any suggestions. See links below for picture ideas of what i am dealing with.... Please help me.........

Maybe not tiny spaghetti straps
but how about THICK ribbons? like, uhm, how should i write this...?
not exactly thick so much as WIDE ribbons?
or maybe...just leave it as is, but wear a bra with transparent straps?

aaaw, didn´t you cry when you cut off the top?? i would have... it´s wonderful pleated!!! the whole dress looks awesome!!
lovette´s idea with thick ribbons is quite nice, you can do your ruffle idea with matching or contrast ribbon too!! i made a dress once that had a ruffle around the top and went up at one shoulder, so you have only one strap but better than nothing Happy aah, you can go down the whole dress with that ruffle (i have an idea for my next dress now, thanks!!)
or what about the straps of the white dress from your mccall pattern? i´m sure you can add them even you have your top already finished!
oh, and please no transpaent straps, please!! (no offence, i just don´t like them when you wear gowns)
if you don´t want any straps, maybe tape is your best friend then Happy
good luck with your dress and your wedding!!!!!

Omg, that is going to be SOOO CUUUUTE! :-D (Sorry; I just had to freak a lil' bit. ;) )

Anyway, I agree with using the straps from that other dress. Perhaps you could even do little cap sleeves? Idk how it would look with that neckline, but I know that they look great with a ballerina-neck. Envisioning it now, I think it would look great, especially if you embellished them the way you are already doing with the rest of the dress. :-D

I hope I helped! Be sure to post photos of the finished gown! I can't wait to see this ensemble. ;) :-D
