The Mars Volta

I loved their first album and I just got the latest and have yet to buy the others. Their latest had its lyrics written by use of a ouiji board and a lot of strange things happened while they recorded the album which resulted in one of the member breaking the ouiji board and burrying it. Members of the band went a bit nuts and a few got fired, their studio was flooded and electrical equipment kept going on the frink. So I've received my copy and there's a huge crack right across the front and I'm terrified of listening to it now hahaha I 50/50 about ghosts. Anybody got it anything strange happen since getting it or listening to it!?

It's pretty good though. I think they've gone a little insane recently and it comes across, sometimes in good ways, sometimes in bad.

Musically they're a bit insane anyway it's weird its always really random yet it doesn't clash! I got up the courage to listen to it, tis good!

I've tried and failed with The Mars Volta - they seem a bit *too* weird to be listenable...

i found out about them through the promotional game for their latest album xD

i didn't know that one of them actually broke the ouija board and buried it.

that's what happens in the game.. well, if you choose to anyway. you had a choice of playing with it. i'm totally against using ouija boards so yeah.

i've read in a lot of places about the strange things that happen after someone uses an ouija board.
one person said on their death bed to NEVER use them. so i took their advice. Tongue

i did listen to the mars volta and i must say they do sound very interesting, i've yet to get hold of an album by them but i definitely will get at least one some time in the near future.

I was given a key chain version of an ouji board, not very effective. I love The Mars Volta, though. It's interesting to think that their lyrics might be from a higher power.
