What a day.

Zomg!!
I was crafting it up, until I ran out of glue in stick form, which made me very sad.
THEN...
The broken needle in my sewing machine refuses to come out, so I can't replace it.

Oh when will it end?!?!
And it's only 9:30am
=\

uurgh poor kat! that's like yesterday I had spent about 7 hours knitting and crocheting and ended up with nothing! I'm trying to figure out a pattern I've made up, haaard. I cut up some knitting I'd actually finished! Usually I make it 10 times worse by throwing things!

aaw just practice Happy a great tip is that you have to think that when you're drawing it's not real it's an illusion, exentuate things that are already there, I'm guessing you draw anime and that's always easy to apply to drawing when it's not anime because anime captures emotions in a really simple way Happy

Dude I totally hate that.
You have something that's pretty rad, but you think you can make it cooler so you cut it up and then as it turns out you can't really make it anymore awesome than it was when you started.
I do that ALL the time.
Seven hours is a crazy amount of time to spend knitting. I wish I had enough of an attention span to do that.

And yeah drawing's really weird like that.

ooh no I thought I'd done what I wanted but it didnt work so I got angry and cut it up and then threw it away! Could have used it for stuffing if I make a plushie or something! boo! I was really bored so I just kept on knitting.

Try yanking the needle out with pliers -- it happens to me all the time because I get too adventurous with materials I'm sewing with.

I use to be rubbish at drawing, all through art school and then, when I felt like I didn't have to try hard and be good at it, I was much much better. I think it's because I'm more relaxed now and not overly panicky about how good the final result is.

Life Class always makes people get better at drawing for some reason, shocked into drawing properly lol some people panicked in Life Class though probably because they didn't want to run out of time and wanted to do everything right but you can't get every thing right straight away that's another good tip you just have to take your time Happy

lol I used a screw driver to take the "coin" out. Thanks for the tip though, I'll remember that. =)

I find that taking your time takes a long time. I always want to get things done right away.

I can understand that, wanting to get things done.

But sometimes, taking your time is much faster, because you mess up less. And if you mess up at the end of a project because of rushing, it will just make it take twice as long.

What I usually do, is do a TON of projects at the same time, but I work on each one for a little bit, and then go to the next one, and then the next one. So each time, its like I'm renewed [because I never do the same KIND of projects together. I'll do a painting, a seweing, a molding, a wirework, but never like 3 paintings]. It makes it much easier, and they turn out much better. Happy

I spent a while yesterday doodling on my new tablet and came up with a pretty neat design for a tshirt, my program QUIT before I could save it. I was so pissed off. serves me right though, I was only supposed to be doodling, so I didn't use the proper program. grrr

I can NEVER take my time, it has to be done nownownow.

I hate the feeling of not being able to make something, it always really really depresses me

yes me too, sometimes it works to my advantage though, and if something isn't going the way I planned, I quickly get an idea to make into something else, which usually* turns out better than the first thing I had planned Happy *sometimes!

I am very impatient though, hence the name of my blog "the impatient creator" lol

the only thing I don't rush is drawing cuz I know that in the end it will turn out ok and I can just use a rubber if it goes wrong. Anything else I am impatient too! And I switch from project to project to, probably why I never finish anything. I just threw out a load of bottle caps I was saving to make a belt with because I couldn't find anything to make holes in them with Happy
