maybe a scarf out of thin wool on thick needles to make it light and airy because wool can get hot in the summer, u dont see many people wearing woolly jumpers etc in the summer. maybe a light and thin cardigan.

cell phone sleeves, pillow cases, amigurumi, coasters, and grocery bags....? I'm not sure if knitting is as versatile as crocheting, but I hope my suggestions help.
