16th Birthday?

Hi guys! I need some ideas for a 16th birthday party, low budget. Just something fun, crazy, and memorable.
Also, what did you do for your 16th?

I didn't celebrate my 16th really. But I always wanted to have a Costume Party. When is your birthday? If it's somewhat around Halloween, more people will be excited for it. Or you could do like a retro 80's themed party! That's what I want for my 21st.

i don't think i did anything for my 16th either! Nothing memorable anyway!!
You could do a masquerade party, my friend did that for her 21st and it was ace!! Then people only need to buy a mask (which you can get easily online for the non-crafters!) Cheap yet effective!

or a crazy hat party, or do a theme, like the 80's, fun 50's

everyone can dress up, bring food and appertisers, do theme music and decorations.

I didn't celebrate my 16th birthday. The day passed pretty much like any other. Looking back it really doesn't matter or bother me at all that I didn't do anything to mark turning "sweet 16". I am sure a gathering of friends at a favorite hang-out spot or out to a nicer place for dinner will work just as well as anything if you don't want to go super crazy on the birthday beat. I doubt any of my friends would have been much interested in a themed party when I turned 16. Most of them didn't do anything on theirs either.

What about a tea party? With masks and costumes, of course, and maybe go somewhere/do something else after? Though a masquerade party sounds awesome.

For my 16th my friends and I went to the Cheesecake Factory in downtown Denver, then we walked around and got desert. It was fun and very low-key. Except for when they sprayed me with silly-string as we were leaving the restaurant.

I (personally) had a beach party, where my friends and I spent the day at the beach, roasting Starbursts and hot dogs and marshmallows.

If you're not located next to a watery place, another amazing party I went to was a fancy dress party. Because all of my friends are older, they used their old prom/graduation dresses, and I wore a dress that I made myself. My friend baked her own cookies and cake, made Hors d'oeuvres, and put on her favorite dance music. We danced around and took pretty pictures, and it all cost her less than $20.

My 16th birthday was last Friday. I hosted a glow in the dark Just Dance 2(game for wii) party. I had it at our guest house which had enough room for everyone. My friends and I had showdowns in groups of 4 and since we had lots people we just had to have more rounds to accommodate everyone. I had help from some of my friends to cover all the glass doors and windows then splatter painted the walls with glow stick to make it have the glow in the dark effect. I also bought plain white v-necks that we also splatter painted with glow stick for everyone coming to wear. Then we just had some pizza, chips, cake...just lots of junk food.

Hope this helped Happy

I didn't do much for my 16th, just had a sleepover with 5 of my friends, watched movies, chocolate fountain, pizza, etc.

I had some sort-of friends over and watched half of a crappy movie. :/

Why not go outside and sit around a fire and stuff your faces? If it's not still cold where you live, I mean.
