I WANT TO HELP!!

I want to help charities and make the world a better place in general, but I dont know how!!

I'm only 15 anddont have a lot of money, so I just dont know what I can do...

What does everyone do to help charities/endangered species/the homeless/the environment/etc, and do you have any ideas of what I can do to make a difference??

Any suggestions greatly appreciated...

google vonluteering, odds on there are some societys or agencies that are local to you that can give you placements/oppotunities. i did some when i was younger and went to a local volunteering charity that i never knew was just down the road from me. good luck Happy

Well, I saw on your profile that you are in the UK, so I don't know how much help I'll be. I have the same problem as you though, no money! Well, in the US, they have Project Linus. You can make blankets and they donate them to local kids in hospitals and such. Mabey you could make a whole buch of somethings and bring them to a hospital, or shelter or something. Also, if you have any time there is alot of places that need volenteers. Good luck!

Go to http://www.do-it.org.uk/ - thats a national database for volunteering. Its very good. You could craft for charity, e.g. find out if you have a local nightshelter and knit scarves and hats and blankets, or donate to charity shops and buy from them rather than new. I always get my clothes from charity shops as i'm on a v tight budget and you get much better stuff and much more interesting stuff than buying from cheapy shops like primark. .

yes, volunteering is the way to go, local charities, church groups, food banks...also its great work experience. Volunteer at a place you have an intrest in. I was a brownie Leader in high school

thanks for the ideas everyone, i'm going to look into volunteering and try seeing what kinds of things i can make for hospitals/shelters etc...
