Bleaching dark jeans?

I wanted to bleach a pair of darker jeans. Not completely black, but I don't know what they will look like. Would they end up a poopy brown? Or is there any other way to get them white? I just want to do one leg by the way.

I dunno... I wouldn't feel confident about it unless i had some resist to make sure bleach didn't end up on the other leg.... someone else asked about split jeans on the boards and people had some good suggestions

Having used chlorine bleach on jeans many years ago, I can tell you that to get hem really white, you have to let it sit for a very long time. By the time all the color goes out, the fabric becomes very fragile and brittle, and will be prone to tearing and splitting. You might test out a color removal product before using bleach, to save the fabric wear and tear.
