It looks like they used shoe laces to make a section of Circle Stitch, then poked the hoop through the center and wrapped the ends of the hoop with the excess shoe lace. On each end they then wrapped the shoe laces in place with some silver wire.

You can look up boondoggle or Gimp or Craft Lace patterns (all the same thing, just depends on what you call it) anyway look up a Boondoggle Circle Stitch. That's what you need Happy

It could just be loose square knots that were "strung" on the earring loop then wrapped at the end. Give it a shot! I'm always surprised just how pretty square knots are when done in a cluster. Happy

I know how to make this!!......you can use a large hoop earring then wrap it with wire then you take the shiny thick shoe string ,tie loose knots and then finally you wrap it around the earring simple!! It is not the tutorial for the same earring but it is something like it!!! Hope I helped you!!! Happy

You can also use beads....when you tie knots take a bead again tie a knot and when you wrap the earring the bead should be below the earring!!!
