melting pony beads

Does anyone know if you can melt pony beads in the mircowave and why or why not. I am melting pony beads in a toaster over and it takes over an hour because it only gets to about 260 degrees. Any suggestions. Thanks, Jeri

I wouldn't suggest using the microwave becuz it doesn't get hot enough, even if you put it your oven at 350 degrees, it will take 30 minutes.
