Any tips on how to Preserve paint on a leathery journal

Hey guys it’s me again.
Years ago my sister gave me a journal with a leather printed cover. She said I was free to do whatever I wanted with it, and I didn’t really like the cover to much so I painted over it. So I modpodge it But the paint is still coming off, any suggestions

Hmm, you could try a clear varnish of some sort. Did you try anything in the end? Happy

No in the end I had to trash it. Cry
However I remade the cover design on a mini sketchbook I keep in my purseLove
