What Inspired you to craft?

My mum and dad always let me explore. Mum taught me to sew, cook and have a go at anything. Dad used to let me use nearly everything in his workshop, the things I created with hammer and nails! My gran even got into the act with baking. Today I am inspired to Craft, to maintain my happiness, it has got me through a lot of very difficult times. How about you?

A lot of the women in my family make things. My great grandmother made lace, my grandmother could make pretty much anything, she made all the clothes for my mum and her siblings, My mum is the same she can knit, sew, crochet and cross stitch. My aunt and cousins are also into crafts mainly patchwork, scrapbooking and baking. So with that kind of family I couldn't me anything but a multi-crafter.

I'd only really done hand sewing when I was younger but I was lucky that my housemate at university was a fantastic knitter, and that gave me an appreciation for yarn crafts.
