If you ever want to talk about art history, you can hit me up Happy I study Paleolithic art all the way up through late 19th century art. I'll be finishing up an art history minor in the fall and always like to talk about stuff.

Thanks Geni,
I like your website too, I will keep my eyes on it, really like your paintings.
My websites pretty empty at the moment, been working on some more sewing today to top up.

My thing is mainly sewing/fashion/costume design, but I enjoy all manner of art and crafting. I'm super into drawing and am teaching myself painting. I'm no expert but I love it. Maybe you can give me advice, lol. What kinds of crafts are you into at the moment? And also: how has selling your art been going on etsy? Have you had a succesful response? I would like to sell art prints some day but am wondering if people actually buy those things...

I technically have an Etsy shop but have not listed anything on it yet ;) It is on my to do list.
I think you just have to keep going, I sell at fairs and in the shop but don't sell much online atm, where as I know people who sell more online.

Lauren: I'm signed up on Etsy too, but nothing is currently in my shop. I just need to find the time to actually make and FINISH things, but I also can't decide what to sell, lol.

Geni: Since I joined Instagram, I've noticed that artists who post their work on there get a lot of attention. Even when I post work in progress pics, if you use the correct hashtags people will 'like' my stuff like crazy, so that might be another avenue for you to explore, if you have an iphone or android. Post links to your etsy listings and maybe you might finally get some sales too! it takes time to build up a fanbase, but if you keep at it eventually they should come running. Maybe try Youtube as well. Even if you just post slideshows of stuff. Thats what I need to start doing!! ;)

And you didn't write too much, lol.

Hey,
What is Instagram? I know you can put vintage effects on your photos (I think!) but I have never used it.

@Lauren: its a photo taking/editing app for android or iphones. Yes, you can add vintage looking filters/effects, and if you set your account to public, everyone can view your photos and 'like' or comment on them. You can also share them onto your facebook or twitter, as well as follow artists/celebs/companies for photographic fun, lol ;)

Hello
I am always up for making friends with the same love for artistic endeavors, especially because I tend to accumulate friends that think of it as a silly hobby. I tend to do floral paintings, cartoon drawings, and any way I can create a jellyfish and octopus. I do various other crafts, and I am attempting to pick up on crocheting and sewing this summer since I am not taking classes.

I will have a look thanks Ghoulie, have you been on BeFunky.com it sounds a bit similar I have had some good effects from there.
Hi TreeStub Crafts, I find CO&K really good for talking to people about crafting etc.....as I don't really know people who do the same. I love all sea creatures, I have seen really cool crochet jellyfish but making one is out of my reach Happy

Lauren,
The only thing I have attempted to crochet was a penguin I made for a friend. But it took me awhile to get it done. I actually made a jellyfish bow holder which I did post, and I have made a jellyfish out of paper that is more than two feet long and was rather fun to create,

I really like that bow holder, so cute.
So what projects is every one working on (or on your to do lists) atm?
