How to Display ?

For mother's day I want to give my mother my embroidery project "Labor of Love" because my grandmother (her mother) had started it. But I want a unique way to display it. Everyone always says the only way is frame it or make into a pillow and I want to do something else I guess. If I can't come up with anything else to do it I will probably mount it to a frame but I'd love to find a really creative way to give it to her. Any suggestions?

Make it into a fabric book.
Look up my green book project.Might give you ideas.
That say a frame will preserve the piece better

When is Mother's Day in the US ?

Maybe there's a way to make it like, the middle piece of one of those mini-ish quilts? Not sure, haven't gotten into quilting yet, but I think I've seen a quilt in a really old cross stitch magazine. If you do have to end up framing it, you can always make one to make it less boring.

Not sure when mother's day is. My mom's birthday is May 10th though and sometimes mother's day is the same day (Sunday before/after it?). I usually just make her breakfast 'cause I give her an extra special gift for her birthday.

If it was done on an embroidery hoop, I'd say leave it on a hoop for display. I love the look of embroidery that's been kept on a wooden hoop... it has a classy, yet homey feel to it.

How about making a calendar? Or sew it onto a big blanket/drape thing like emily said. I received a jewellery box with space for a big photo maybe you could do something like that.
