Myself and a few others were also wondering this on Secret Squirrel's thread where we discussed if we were thinking of Christmas stuff too early. I only have to make for my dad and his wife, well I would prefer to make if possible. But I can't think of anything :S

I made a necktie out of a vintage pillowcase and that was really fun. Or I find buy a nice manly colour wool and knit a cool scarf?

I have that same problem for Christmas. I have 4 brothers and my husband has 4 brothers (and a sister)...plus their wives, kids...etc.

So, I'm just going to can a huge batch of homemade spaghetti sauce (fresh tomatoes and all that jazz) and pack it up in cute baskets with noodles and stuff. Ladies get pretty baskets and the men get yummy food. (I might do some novelty jellies too. Like jalapeño jelly or something) Not sure yet. ;)

Maybe that helps?

Ahh, the age-old question....

In the past, I have stenciled a band tshirt, sewn a quilt and pillow, made a phone cozy with a guitar on the front, made little gag gifts, etc. Currently, I am awaiting a printer so I can print out the stencil to finish Shlomi's apron--it's black and will say "King of the Kitchen." :-P I'm making him this because he always steals and wears my bee one. xD

I'm making little medal-badges out of kilt pins for guys this year. Most guys don't mind having a pin on a jacket ^^

Damn you, Dessah! Filling my head full of tasty spaghetti! I'm starving now ^^

Actually, along the 'foodie' train of thought... What about saving oil bottles and making tasty salad dressings or infused oil to put in them? You can pack lots of dried herbs and chillies and pepper into the oil so it gets all tasty and spicier over time? Right... I need to go and have some dinner now!

Men are so hard to shop for. The only things I can ever think of to buy my husband are always $50 or more, which is way out of my little housewife budget.

As for making him anything... o.O;;; If he sits at a desk for work make a picture frame with a pic of you and him(or the kids if you have them). That's all I can think of. Most craft ideas I can think of are rather girly.

i agree most ideas are girly!! but i like the tshirt idea...my partner is into music so could try that for him...

My hubby is into video games and music, so I made him a "band tshirt" that has a video game reference.
I also plan on making him a "man bag" out of an old pair of his cargo shorts (pre-made pockets!) for when he wants to take his old gameboy and some novel and sunglasses with him when we're out and about.
