Christmas Presents... what are you making this year?

Thought I would create a board where people could share what they're planning to make, and maybe get some ideas too!
I know I'm stuck on a few people.

So far I have made a vintage hat box for a friend. I found a plain hat box in hobbycraft, and have covered it with pretty papers in pink and blue, with lace and ribbon.

I have two tote bags left over from when I made some for my daughter's birthday. I'm going to jazz them up and give them to her for Christmas. She loves purses! No jewelry this time though, she just destroys those!

Going to make her some more butterfly wing barrettes too.

Man, I haven't even had time to start thinking about Christmas. I presume I will be making things for people.... but right now I'm just focused on getting through life in general and Halloween!

I'll be back Nov. 1. ;)

I really need to start thinking about Christmas presents early because instead of buying things, I like to make gifts for people. Happy

Mmm, well, Im thinking about making a ton of emotion themed cds for the music lover friend of mine. Of course, Im making each cd case and decorating it according to the genre.

For my best friends, Im working on a mini scrapbook of all our adventures together, pics and all!

For the really girlie friends of mine, Im planing on making them some little cute plushies, lip gloss with their favorite scent, lotions, perfume, aaand of course Im going to glam up the containers xD

Bracelets, necklaces, rings, all with charms that I like to make out of polymer clay. Care packages with play dough when they are bored, a small stuffed animal for comfort, a cd to relax to, and candy for the they want a snack...the list in my mind goes on and on.. Wow this was a long post!

OH! And there are tons of tutorials to do all these things online and on CO+K!

I was really crazy last year and made my 2 girl cousins each a doll of their favorite fictional character. (tres sneaky because I asked them months in advance what they were-- Mia Thermopolis and Elizabeth Bennet).

I already made my gram a button-up scarf, because it gets cold here well before Christmas, but I might make her more. I'll probably do scarves for my aunts and uncle, since they're something I can do while watching tv. I might make hand warmers for my two college cousins, since it snows a lot where they are. I think I'll have to buy for family... mostly because you can't knit a dvd.

the only reason i started early this year was because i was unemployed, then got a job and had like 2 weeks until i started so thought i'd make the most of it!
starLeigh- i'll prob end up doing doing the same for my partner, dvds/computer games and he's happy Happy
i also made a mini owl keyring the other day...but i loved it too much so have kept it for myself!! Happy

so far I'm crocheting a scarf for my neice and I've made a necklace for my sister. I'm also making a needle book which I might send to my mum. I'm so short on cash this year that I think its going to be a very crafty set of xmas pressies. I hope the family like them.

i think older relatives especially, appreciate handmade things more. i'd prefer something made as you know a lot of thought and time/effort has gone in to it rather than going in to a shop and thinking "ahh that'll do"
also they're gonna be prtty unique presents!
