What's the strongest glue?

Hey craftsie people! Last night I took my sweet time gluing down dozens of cute little rhinestones using Elmers Tacky Glue and this morning..with the slightest bit of pressure they flop off! Ugh! I'm making projects that I plan on selling and I need to know of a good quality glue that would work on rhinestones and gems pleaseee! Since I'm selling these it's very important that the rhinestones won't come off. Any suggestions? What about E-6000? I've never used it but I've heard good things...

Merci Beaucoup in advance. :]

Oh! And I'm gluing the rhinestones to a stiff felt applique..but I'd like to have a really great multi purpose glue since I use lots of different materials.

I thought about gorilla glue but I heard it puffs up and will make my rhinestones look 3-D. Not cute. Now, someone said that E6000 will crackle the silver backing of rhinestones making it look crackled..blah. Anyone know much about Gem Tac?

I've used E6000 on rhinestones or gems and I didn't have that problem, that's what I use for every thing.

I get mine from Walmart, it's found where they have the glue sticks and guns and other glues. The gorilla glue though is in the hardware dept.

Someone on this site (I think) posted this link. It's very useful for glue decisions!

Aleene's has a Flexible Stretchable Fabric Glue that would probably be the best bet for your project. In fact Aleene's has several different glues that would work, Tacky Glue & Quicky Dry or Extra Thick Tacky. I've had really good luck with all of her glues.

well, I tried the E-60000000000 or whatever, lol..but it ate the backing off my rhinestone and left me with an icky clear plastic 1/2 circle..ew. i tried tacky glue and it wouldn't hold..they just slid off..what worked is what everyone said not to use..and that's hot glue..i love hot glue..i use it for nearly everything and i guess i'll stick to it..

Strange, E6000 does wonders for me on many things. I use hot glue too, love my gun except not so much when I burn myself. But hey, whatever works.
