Fursuit/Quasuit help please!! :D

Okay, so I want to make a quadsuit fusuit. It will be my very first fursuit. I was wondering about how to do the padding on it, as in would you glue the foam to the dummy then measure the fur, or would you pin it??. It will be wolf and I already made a duct tape dummy. Also, what would be the best type of pipe/stilt to use in the front? I've heard PVC is the best but I'm not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
