Lace up dress HELP PLEASE!

Hello all!
I really need help a costume for a party on saturday. The zip has totally broken on the green dress i bought and i don't have the equipment/ money to replace it easily.
I was thinking of creating a lace up back using ribbon i already have. Can anyone tell me how i go about this please? And also offer any more ideas, it's a Peacock outfit and i wanted it to look quite fancy. Cheers! Happy

If your fabric is thin take the zip out and leave the folded fabric as it is. You may need to sew up the bottom part a little if the zip was long, not so much that you can't get in though Happy
Where the fabric turns use iron on stiffener so that when you put eyelets/grommets on the fabric will keep it's shape and the eyelets won't rip out. Space them about 1 inch apart to stop the fabric from bunching Happy
