One thing I've found that has worked on removing newer scars is to rub oil like almond oil or vitamin e oil on the scar for 3-5 minutes every night before I go to sleep. I noticed a huge difference in the appearence of 3 fresh scars I did this to just last night.

I'm always so happy to hear people say they like their scars. I have a HUGE scar that goes down the full length of my back. I was told that I should be embarrassed by it and never wear anything that shows it because people would think its disgusting. I show it all the time and have got so many complements on it! The only other scars I have is a weird keloid scar on my shoulder that got covered up by my tattoo and one on my neck where they stitched a IV into it.

Hehe. Thanks for this, Michelle!! I just uploaded pictures for this!

Those two are on each of my knees. One was from tripping on a log while blindfolded and the other is from falling off my bike, but I can't remember which is which.

This is a chicken pox scar. I had it when I was two, I think.

This is the most recent. My boyfriend had a computer tower sitting at the foot of our bed and I got up in the middle of the night and scraped my leg down on it.

This happened when I was five. My sisters and I were climbing a split pine tree in our backyard. I started to climb down, got stabbed by a branch and it ripped the side of my stomach.

@Nightmarequeen: OMIGADS!! That's sick! I can't believe that people would blaspheme scars so badly!!! (P.S: I love your username!)

I have many, many, (many!) scars, due to my parents' total inability to turn me into a lady (XP), and I love every single one that I can see (and, man, you should see my hands!). My favorite is the one that goes diagonal across my upper lip, from one pointy to right under the other one. The only one that gives me grief is the 2-incher on my scalp that's situated in just the right position to keep me in the hair-dresser's chair a lot longer while they try to even out my 'do.

But my absolute favorite set of scars in the whole world isn't even mine. My best friend has some pretty severe ones snaking all over his face, on his hands and arms.

And over half of the guys I've dated (there have been plenty) had scars on or near their mouths.

Gimme an opening, I can talk about this subject all night!
Sorry for rambling.

I have loads of scars. I don't like showing them to people though because I'm really self-conscious about them. Here are my main scars:

I have a huge scar across my entire ankle where it's connected to my leg (my foot got stuck in a two-seater bicycle wheel and the spokes almost sliced my foot off, they had to sew it back on).

I also have a scar on my chin from when I was a baby, I fell on a sharp table leg and needed stitches.

I've had my appendix removed so there's a scar from that.

And definitely the most random scar I have is on my thumb where I was bitten by a squirrel at Tonbridge Castle when I was 8 or 9.

Holy crap!! That is some major craziness about your foot! And that's funny about the squirrel. I got bit by a ferret and that sucker was stuck on my finger. I meant stuck. It took a few minuets to get him off, but I don't have a scar. And now that picture is smaller. I don't know why it didn't just go down in the first place.

I have a big shiny scar on my knee from my 15th birthday when I went rollerblading instead of going to the prom and fell down on my street and landed on my knees and hands and face and slid for a few feet. That's the only wound that scarred from that day.

I used to have a scar on my arm from where one of my friends cut me with a pen in grade seven (not the writing end, the part that clips to your shirt Tongue), but it disappeared after a few years.

Oh and Veronies, I have a hole like that on my face. I never knew what it was ... makes sense though, when I had chicken pox my face was almost completely covered.

I have a scar on the bottom side of my lip from when I tripped and busted that side of my mouth. Most people think its really cool and has a great story.... Which is just me, being a clutz. Or they think it's from having my lips pierced.

Rawr. You were bit by a squirrel?! That's so random and funny too! I used to have a pet squirrel and he was as sweet as could be!

I have a round scar right under my knee cap from grade school its about the size of the tip of my thumb. It happened when we were playing tag and I was "It". I ran towards someone to tag them and since there were small playground pebbles on the pavement I slipped backwards, on the way down my right knee went up and scrapped against the brick wall of the school. When I pulled up my pant leg there was a big chunk of skin missing and it was bleeding.

I also have a small scar on my right thumb from my bike when I was young. I fell over when learning how to ride and the way I fell my thumb got caught on the handle and it ripped the skin.

I have a small round scar on my lower back (the tramp-stamp area hahaha) from chicken pox.

I also have a scar on the bottom of my left foot from the prolonged use of liquid nitrogen. That stuff really hurts!

@ Chuckee, Thank you Thank you. And yeah I was pretty pissed that someone would say that about my scar, as if getting almost my whole spine fused wasn't bad enough already.

@ Rawr Rawr, That reminds me that I got bit by a chipmunk once when I was little! I was throwing popcorn to them and one jumped up, latched and wouldn't come off. I was running around screaming with a chipmunk hanging off my finger lol.
