Scale-type fabric?

Is there a way I can get fabric to look like reptile skin? Or somewhere I can by fabric that looks like it?

I was thinking of netting/lace/tulle over fabric, but I'm not sure what it would look like. I'm not aiming for the different colour fluctuations of the skin, more the texture.

Some online fabric stores might have snakeskin-look material.

ive seen some scale printed cottons which would be easy to work with but the best looks are slippery scaled fabrics found in with the fun fur

thanks, i didn't think of snakeskin. I have to look online for fake fur as there is much more variety and my local shop isn't consistent with what items they have Happy
