Birthday present + DIY hiding place?

Hey guys!
My friend's birthday will be very soon and she has no idea what she wants. (She does, she wants money but we never give eachother money :p)
She's a very RANDOM girl, has ADD, loves industrial metal (Mindless Self Indulgence, Porcelain and the Tramps etc.(If you listen to clarissa from MSI, you'll know what shes like :p)) And she loves colours and moustaches, those random things.
Problem is, I don't know a good birthday present for her. I have one idea but I'm kind of struggling with it.
She often complains about not having privacy and her mother going through her stuff, so I thought I could as well make some sort of hiding place which her mother WOULDN'T even THINK of looking. I was thinking 'bout a moustache pillow, but you can feel it when something's inside.. Anyone got any suggestions? Or on how to improve the moustache pillow so much that you won't feel any objects inside? :p

(I'm so sorry for my grammar and vocab... I'm tired and Dutch so my English is double bad)

Hope anyone wants to help me Happy

I love the idea of a hollow book--there is a tutorial on here for a "Secret Hollow Book" that I think is great. That way, she could just keep the book on her bookshelf with all of her other books. It has to blend in with her other books, and it shouldn't be anything that anyone else in her family would be interested in reading! Good luck!

A secret book like Melinda said OR a secret stack of cards... also maybe a hanger with a pocket that hangs off it and a shirt goes over it so you can't see it?

I like Panda's hanger with a pocket idea, too--I think I'll use it! I also found a tutorial here called "Hide Away Bear" where you take the stuffing out of a teddy bear so you can hide things inside. That looked clever, too... Good luck!

I've heard about the books and cards.. but something bigger is better! She also has bigger things to hide, y'know? Happy The hanger idea is great though!

My sister has a teddy where she hides her things. She cut the head off and put in a tiny zipper which is hidden by the teddy bear's fluff when it's closed. I'm still trying to get the guts to behead one of my teddies. I'll make a How-To when I make one though!

i was going to say a teddy, where the back opens with a zip or something
when i was younger i had a 3ft toy (not sure what animal it was) and that was made to have a hiding place in its stomach (which it laid on) i always kept my pyjamas in it. large toy=larger hiding place
you could also decorate the toy to her style, sew patches on it, draw on it in permanent pens. you could put a moustache on the toy
there are plenty of how-tos on here about making a toy into a hiding place

You could make the mustache pillow (which is an awesome idea) and also sew a little pouch. After stuffing the mustache you could cut a slit in the back of the pillow and sew the pouch inside (so that you could put stuff in the pouch through the slit.) Since there's stuffing in the pillow you wouldn't be able to tell if anything was inside.

Or you could do the secret teddy idea and sew a felt mustache onto the teddy Happy
