Crochet Diaper Bag

Hey all,

I have been "dreaming" of a crochet or even knitted diaper bag to give to friends instead of the usual baby gifts.

I started out with crocheting all the sides seperately, but that really takes a lot of time and I am not sure of the strength of the bag at the bottom....

Does or has anybody ever made or have a pattern or one? If anybody would be willing to offer an idea of what I should do or do it and give me a how to, I'd certainly love you forever!

In the mean time I will keep dreaming, and we will see who can come up with a great idea first. lol

I always say check out ravelry.com first (if you haven't been there already) because its easy to search and has lots of projects. I haven't ever crocheted a purse. I just learned how to crochet within the last year, and have been working on blankets, scarves and hats. But ravelry always helps me find what I need.

Sorry I can't recommend an actual pattern though :S If you've never been to ravelry.com you need to sign up for it, its totally free though, and it's great because you can save patterns you like to your favorite, so you don't have to do a search every time you want to find it, and you can add personal notes to your favs like "this on was easy, but added a few changes ....blah blah blah" lol.

When I make bags I always add a double layer to the bottom for extra strength an a fabric liner. It helps keep my bags from stretching out of shape too much from all the junk I carry in them.
