For the thumb shape
Then increase every other row for 40 rows (20 stitches extra) That gives the bottom shaping for the thumb. Then work 8 rows in main colour and a further 5 rows in contrast (13 rows total) on the shaped side and cast off.
Rejoin thread to remaining stitches and work 12 rows in main colour and 5 rows in contrast (17 rows in total) then cast off.
Sew together......and keep warm ;)
