I painted some panels with the nightmare before christmas characters on. They are now on a bag that I use for my hydrotherapy sessions. I still get weird looks and asked where I got the bag...Lol I might post some photo's of them. Have a blessed day Happy

Hello and thanks for adding me as a friend. Drop by anytime. I'm a Tim Burton fan too. My daughter is studying animation and film making so I've seen all his stuff and know how it's done now...Lol
My little green men project was made for a stop motion animation, the same process used for Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride. I get roped into doing models all the time. Have a blessed day Happy

Forgot to say. Trousers should be a little too short and slightly flaired at the bottom. Wear boots with laces that arn't done up fully with odd socks and he has lots of ribbons hanging from his pocket. I thought it would be easier to tie them onto a kilt pin so you could hang them anywhere. His coat has a long collar and is fairly fitted at the waist. You could spray paint stripes on it. Ooo....and thimbles on your fingers! Going now coz I'm taking up your comments section...LOL Happy

You're welcome. For the big bow tie take a oblong of fabric that would fit across the width of your chest about 12 inch wide and 18 inch long. Fold in half to make it 12 by 9. Sew around with right sides together leaving a opening about the middle of one of the longer sides (where you put the bow middle). Turn right way out and iron it and stitch up hole. Make a small band for the middle by cutting a piece of fabric 5 inch by 8 inch which is sewn along the long edge to make a tube. Turn it right side out and fit it to the middle to create a sloppy bow. You can make a neck strap by measuring your neck and making a tube to thread through the bow. Stitch it well to the centre front at the back so it isn't seen. Use an old bra fastener to close it at the back as you can adjust for comfy fit. Best to use a cotton viscose mix. If it's too floppy you can put a flat layer of net in the top half of the bow but you would have to sew it to the fabric around the edges before making up. Hope this helps Happy

Hi, thanks for the comment on my mad hatter headband. If you are doing the whole outfit you can make the coloured thread band that he wears across his body really easily. Get about 15-20 bobbins of coloured threads, 2 long laces and an old belt. Cut the belt in half and make four holes in a square pattern at each cut end. Thread the lace onto a bobbin so it is in the middle of the lace. Cross the lace over and thread the ends onto the next bobbin. It will make a long line of bobbins. When you have put all your bobbins on thread the lace in a criss cross onto one end of the belt. Thread the other lace into the first bobbin and criss cross it to the other end of the belt. Yay, a bobbin belt to throw across your shoulder. Oops, taken up lots of your comments bit Happy
