About
Lady Wurlitzer is the alter-ego of daytime bookworm and PhD student, Carrie Maclennan. Born of an obsession with pretty products, a love of bath-time and a mild form of OCD, Lady Wurlitzer began life with just a modest pot or two of lip butter and a little loaf of soap. Having made her first market appearance with the Miso Funky craft troupe in June 2006, she has since opened her beautiful e-boutique and has taken up residence at a number of other local alt.craft events. Lady Wurlitzer is an active member of the Glasgow Craft Mafia and also runs country music crafty party, [We Are] Fuzzy Felt Folk.
Inspired by sweeties, granny’s dressing table, a burlesque lady, the seasons and days of yore, Lady Wurlitzer creates pampering aids with wide appeal. Signature items include the Pomegranate Blanc soap bar from the Lady Midnight Collection £3.50] and of course, Silk Stitch Knitter’s Balm from the Green Garter Collection £15.50].
Inches away from launching sister venture, 'Nana Moon', an emporium of prettiness and vintage originals and inspirations, LW is set to have a chum!
