When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
My Mum was a dressmaker and she taught me how to first sew when I was only 4 years old. I used to practise with her off cuts and old buttons.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
An embroidery stitch samples with my initials on it.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
I love the Sewaholic Patterns and Papercut Patterns.
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
I move between the sewing studio above my shop where we teach lots of classes. It has great big cutting tables that let you spread out. I also sew at home as well in a corner of my spare room.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I usually watch catch up tv on BBC iplayer but I love a good box set too - Nashville and Gossip Girl are some of my favs!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love to knit as well and when I get time I love to bake. I also enjoy running and have finished 2 marathons which was so hard but a great feeling of achievement!
