Them all, Cassie. Them All!
It's just a shame half of them are useless Tongue
Royal Mail send out two....
The regular guy who walks round putting everyones letters through the doors (when he can be bothered) plus the guy in a big van who delivers parcels etc.
The other two were couriers delivering stuff I'd ordered for my daughter's Birthday.

I'm assuming "the man in the van" tried to deliver either my parcel from Reidergirl or ribbon I ordered to finish some wedding table decorations. The wedding's not for a coupla weeks so I'm not desperate for that BUT I WANT TO SEE MY BAG!!!! Happy

I only have one postie, and she's really nice, if i'm not in she leaves my post in the shed, or with my neighbour. then there's the parcel delivery service, and that is always the same man, well I say man, he's about 17 and a bit grumpy.hope it turns up soon Bindii.

I have one regular postman (who is notoriously unreliable when it comes to time and such.) There is also a UPS and Fedex people but they only deal with special mail, so I hardly ever see them XD. Haha me and my husband have a joke that is the UPS and FEDEX people were to combine forces they would be called FEDUP XD

The Royal Mail parcel guy we used to have was great.
He knew when I would be in and out so he used to change his set route & come back to me later if there weren't any neighbours about. Or sign for stuff for me & hide it round the back of the house. We liked him Happy

The regular postie we have just now, on the otherhand, is a @*$%#
There's one road in & out of our little estate so he parks his car at the corner and does a kinda circular route on foot. I have discovered he doesn't even take any small parcels & packets with him - before he leaves the car, he fills out all the "sorry you weren't in cards" and just puts them through the door with your letters!!! I know that sounds daft, but I caught him out more than once. The last time it happened I glanced out the window and saw him coming towards the house, as I neared the door, the stuff came through & there was the card - now he hadn't had time to knock and decide no-one was in nevermind write out his card but there it was! I opened the door and shouted after him and ran down the road to catch him....he couldn't quite come up with an excuse as to why he wasn't actually in possession of this parcel he had supposedly just tried to deliver and tried to say he had already been round to attempt delivery and he was just back in the street cos he forgot to put something through a neighbours door. He then tried to say he couldn't give me MY parcel because I already had the card saying it was being returned to the delivery office. He quickly realized going to get it outta his car was his best option once he realized he'd been rumbled.
Of course, now he doesn't even try to find a neighbour to leave things with just to spite me. ;P

Isn't there someone you can complain too?

My postman forgot to deliver a package to me (it was my first happygram)and instead of getting out of the truck to put it in my box, he pulled up into my yard and threw it at my door! I called the local post office and filed a complaint. He was on the straight and Narrow (even on time!!) for the first time! The on time part has since ended lol but he hasn't thrown anymore packages to my knowledge!

I know I'm not on this swap but I feel compelled to comment.

Woah! I didn't quite realise that there were so many bad posties out there! I thought it was the exception rather than the norm. I don't trust our postie, quite a few things I was expecting have gone missing or turned up weeks later looking really dog-eared. He once left my flatmates textbooks that he ordered off amazon in a cupboard in our garden without telling him and they got wet and damaged. I've also once caught him putting a missed parcel card through the door when he hadn't even knocked. Apparently he didn't bother becuase there were no cars on the drive- we're a shared house of 6, so we can't all park in the 2 spaces in front of the house. Huff! I used to have such a lovely postie when I lived in Aberdeen. We used to have butterflies round our door and he'd write 'the butterfly house' on all our post (including some of next doors). I miss him! Anyway rant over.

Heather print this up and send it to the post office with a formal complaint. He's broken his job spec.If he can't take his job seriously there are others who need the job.
Postie rants are so sad.The UK guys that go on foot have a hard time.Walking in the dark in all weathers.I look at US posties in their comfy mail trucks delivering to boxes and not up the garden path-running the risk of dog bites and rose attacks. We have no letterbox and there is no thud of the mail arriving.
Instead we have to take the key to the box unlock and bring it in .Arrives around 4.45 so is the latest I've ever had to wait to get the days news.
US postal service is in such a bad way that it can't afford to pay it's pensions this fall and may default. As frustrating as they can be we couldn't swap without them .

I was talking to my friend who's husband is a postie (a nice man who not only does his job properly, but also goes back to houses after he has knocked off for the day if he knows they are waiting for something and they weren't in) Debs is right, your postie isn't doing his job and could be fired if you complain, although I know you wouldn't want that to happen, he will at least be reprimanded, and your route will then be given to someone else (who will hopefully be more suited to the job).

Yes, my postie managed to (once again) ignore my note asking to leave parcels with a neighbour....grrr

I'm worried Claire hasn't received hers yet though, any sign??
