Yay it's international now! I can't wait to have a book from all over the place!

@Regina: hmmm, I think 8 people is a good number for a group. More could be messy. Maybe you could wait and see how many people sign up and then decide whether to make one or two groups.

My page might not be very interesting...but I'll give it a shot. =)

I'd like to try this if you have enough people to make 2 groups. I'd prefer a european group though to reduce the price of postage.

Hey everyone! I will be switching groups to a 'location based' placement to make shipping costs a bit more manageable. Happy I'll explain the groupings better on the 31st when I have a better idea of how many people have signed up. Sorry for the confusion, and hope this change makes it easier for you all. Happy

AWWWW NO! NOOOOOO!!!

Oh God I'm so messy. I *swear* I read the sendout date was going to be September the 10th.

[insert random swearing and self-accusation of being an idiot here]

I'm going to be away for the next two weeks, so there is NO way I'll be able to send out before the 10th. I can't believe I misread it! I guess my brain wanted so badly to be in this swap that altered reality. *Groan*.

WAHAHHAAAAA!!! :'(( This is so bad. Regina, I'm so sorry for the mess. Please please please tell me there's going to be a round 2 soon!

i dont mind shipping internationally, ive found it only to be at most £5 so far
when u say 4x4 for the size, do you mean inches or cm? and does the size include the space for binding?
i have never bound a book before so not really sure how to do it. ive read a few tutes but they all seem tricky and they use signatures not single pages.

@Mary: No worries! Happy I will *try* and host a round 2 if there is interest, or someone else can if I'm not able to. I hope you have fun on your trip! Happy

@Nikki: The page is a total of 4x4 inches (this includes the 'binding area') - sorry I forgot to label that! The note about the 1/2 inch was meant to help everyone with the "design" aspect of their card; because we are all binding our own books, we will probably be punching holes/sewing/etc in that area. In the third picture on the first post you can see the punched holes in the page for binding.
Putting together your book can be as easy or complicated as you want. Personally, I'm planning on punching 2-3 holes in the pages and putting index card rings through them... Or maybe tying them together with pretty yarn? (I'm not entirely sure yet... ;)) I've seen really elaborately bound chunky books that look great, but the simply bound books can look just as awesome.
Hope this helps? If you have any other questions, please ask! Happy
