Ongoing ATC Swap

After a suggestion from Michelle G and support from many others for the idea.... I am now (attempting) setting up an ongoing ATC Swap.

I'm thinking that we will do it a bit like the Newbie v Vets swap. List names in this post of those waiting for an ATC swap.
The person at the top of the list gets to pick their partner (fairest way I could think of)

Also, how many vets would be open to the idea of allowing newbies to do this swap? (Newbies to follow the rules of the Newbie/Vet swap)

So... Rules of the swap (please let me know if I've missed anything)

1. Minimum 9 card swap

2. Send out date to be confirmed between swap partners.

3. You can include up to 3 cards made by someone else in your swap.

4. Be creative

5. Have Fun

Looking forward to this and hope we can all make this work.

******ATC SWAP LIST******

I WILL NOT BE POSTING THE LISTS OF SWAPS IN PROGRESS AS THE LIST WAS GETTING TOO LONG AND UNLESS THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH A SWAP, I THINK YOU ALL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING NOW :0)

list of swappers waiting

1.REIDERGIRL - YES TO INTERNATIONAL
2.BINDIIBABE - YES TO INTERNATIONAL

Hi Ariel, hope this helps :0)

For those that don't know about ATC's (like me), I have found some information for you :0)

As their name indicates, ATC are collectables, a brilliant idea born of the older sports-themed trading cards. The one rule that makes an ATC derives from this: the dimensions of the ATC must be 2.5"x3.5", or 64x89mm.
Second, on the back of each ATC the artist writes part or all of the following information: name, contact information, title of the ATC and number (1/8, 2/8...) if it's part of an edition. By definition ATCs are made in limited numbers, often no more than one of a kind. Unique ATCs are called originals; sets of identical ATCs are called editions and are numbered; sets of ATCs that are based on one theme but that are different are called series. Don't be intimidated by the concept of small editions or originals: very few people are anal about this. What most collectors really want are cards that were made with care. Based on that, numbers are meaningless.

That's all! The above is all you need to know to start making your own ATCs. Common sense dictates that they should be sturdy enough to survive mailing, and of reasonable thickness (unless you specifically want them otherwise. Transparent card sleeves are useful to protect the cards if need be. This is particularly true if they can easily get smudged or if the medium might stick during transport.

The above is courtesy of http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html
(which may I say is a very helpful website:0))

http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/atc-backs

This has the backs as a pdf template so you can download them Happy

Please note these backs are smaller than the card size which is 2.5x3.5 inches. There should be a boarder all the way around the template black line for the ATC to be the correct size.

ATC is acronym for Artist Trading Cards and yes Ariel you can use anything you can think of so the possibilities are limitless. I will have to check back later on this one to get in on the fun, cuz my internet is still out. I'm presently having to make trips to the library to get internet access until Charter get their butts in gear and get my cable fixed.
