About

Gosh, where to start, well, I`m back!! Finally got my life back together after being made redundant. It has taken about a year to feel settled there, but it's hard work and long hours and traveling too. Things have been hectic for a long time but it's better now and I can get back to some serious crafting and swapping.
I love my crafts, and luckily I moved in to a lovely house with my gorgeous boyfriend and I have a little cubby hole room all of my own in which to craft. It is filled with fabric, yarn, paper, glue, paint and most importantly GLITTER!!!

My love of all things handmade started when I used to watch my nanna knitting. She taught me how to crochet too... further knitting lessons came from my mother.
Taught myself cross stitch (not hard really)and taught myself embroidery. I love sewing and using my grandmothers adapted 1908 (the year) Singer sewing machine, have run up a few bits and pieces.

I'm so glad I've found this site, seems like I have come home at last Happy

honestly, I use charity shops, and ebay. My nanna quite often sorts out her stash and sends it my way, and my mum keeps an eye out when she is shopping in the charity shops. I sometimes use Tudor Williams in New Malden, but my favourite place to shop for fabric is John Lewis, the big haberdashery in Kingston is heaven on earth to me (sad I know) :0)

Oh Binue,

How sweet of you. I know that colour and distance does not matter as I live apart from my gorgeous Jamaican boyfriend.
But bless you for thinking of me, and I hope I don't offend, but there isn't a snowflakes hope in hell that I will send you my email address.

Take care of yourself

I taught myself most things with books :0)
I have sooo many books on everything to do with everything. I'm a collector of books as well as dragons.
My love of embroidery comes from all the things my Nanna made and embroidered.
I live just near the Epsom and Ewell High School on Ruxley Lane.
Maybe we can start up our own craft club??

I know what you mean about coming home. I felt the same way. I love to do all things crafty altho Im not to handy with sewing or crocheting. Usually I make jewelry but I recently moved to Hawaii and all my supplies are still in Oregon. So now Im really into paperctrafts.

Thank you for using the how to. Isn't it great to get compliments for something you've made and isn't that hard to make at all ^_^ I can't wait to see what yours looks like. A bow on the front sounds you look swanky.
