Guns n' roses was supposed to have a concert here last week but the stage fell down when like 5 hours before the concert and they cancelled it. I wasn't going to go anyways because Guns n' Roses without Slash just isn't Guns n' Roses. And if you ask me i think Axl is too much of a showoff, and he doesn't even sing that good anymore! But anyways, I just remembered about that when I saw your post!

Maya......Totally agree with you about Axl. Saw Slash at Download with Velvet Revolver. Didn't think much to their lead singer either. Glad he's gone solo.

Ah Sheila!! I went to Download 07 when Velvet Revolver were playing. I was totally amazed that I was seeing Slash! Was the first time I went to Download and first time I had seen a proper 'classic' artist. Can't wait to see him there this year

I saw G&R at the Freddie Mercury Memorial gig at Wembley. Even my parents thought they rocked !

I'll never forget the first time the teen clicked to the lyric "Take me down to the Paradise City" which he had been singing since he could remember a lyric.November Rain was his first broken heart song.

I was at download 07 too with my daughter....What about that bottle fight on the hill on Sunday afternoon!!!!!!! poor ice cream man Slash was awsome. I managed to walk away with a couple of signed Kerrang signing table sheets full of drawings, scribbles and doodles from the bands(they were given to me). My daughter gave me cool mum status for that....LOL

I know. I was right in the middle of that because I was on the hill (passing time for maiden) then it just kicked off. Am rather lucky to not have been hit!! Haha. That's ace about the signings. I never manage to find the signing tent, could imagine there's a huge queue anyway...

The queue was huge. We waited for 2 hours and didn't get in. It was up on the hill to the left of the stage. I got sunburnt waiting. I rolled the sheets up, put em under my arm and tried to walk back like they were just old rags.......it was hard not to woop and run round excited.

I was in the middle of the bottle fight too, waiting for maiden...lol. I was on the top path at the bottom of the hill. I had a bottle wizz past my ear, that was the closest one got to me. Thankfully I'm short so they missed. It was so funny with the flags going up and down the hill and people cheering on one side or the other. I got some fantastic photo's and video on my phone. Maybe I should post them.......lol
