Audio Books
Does anyone know of any good audio books to listen to? They're great while crafting.
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is such a classic one, radio series rather than audiobook though!
I think it's sold as an audiobook now. Speaking of old radio shows I always quite liked the Goon Show, but I imagine that's something that a lot of people wouldn't like too much!
Books buy Philippa Gregory if you like the Historical Fiction, her books are amazing and so is the reader. I listen to them at night when im stressed out because it stops my brain from thinking to much
Theres a free one my mother downloaded for me called The Counterpane Fairy by Katharine Pyle, it's a childrens story but it's really cute. The main character is a young boy named teddy and he gets really sick and a counterpane fairy comes and "shows" him stories using the pieces of his blanket. The frist chapter is a yellow block, and it's called THE PRINCESS OF THE GOLDEN CASTLE and the whole world appears yellow. it's really cute.
Enders Game by Orson Scott Card and the sequels are the best as audio books, because they act out the parts--there's more than one voice actor. The stories are awesome!
Another good one is Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury--my all time favorite book. Something Wicked This Way Comes is also good, by the same author.
i always wanted to try audio books but i never have i think i would loose concentration and miss whats happening lol
wow, i'm replying to this damn late... but if you want FREE audiobooks, of older (Public Domain, so, 1920-ish and earlier) try going to Librivox.org. it's all volunteer readers, so the quality isn't the best sometimes, but if you like older books, it's awesome.
