cheer me up please??

i'm feeling a bit not-as-happy-as-usual over the last couple of days, nothing serious I just dont feel very excited about christmas as usual (i'm 15 now and it all seems a bit OTT to me), and the weather is so miserable you just cant help but feel a bit down at the mo. just wondering if anyone can say anything or suggest something to keep me occupied and put the smile back on my face?...

Well for starters, on CO+K you are surrounded by awesome people and lots of projects to try out and get you inspired! Also, if you're not feeling the holiday spirit at home yet, why don't you try to locate some loal charities and things so that you can give back? Often times, that will certainly make you feel better! OR just pop in a favorite holiday movie - grab lots of friends and have a crafting party, or a decorating party, or something to take your mind off the crappy weather and just have some fun!! Or vent it all in a journal- that might help too! ^.^ Or when all else fails....

::Throws glitter on you and runs to hide:: Tee Hee!

Baking with loud music on always cheers me up (you can use an mp3 player if there are others who may complain about the noise). If it doesn't work at least there is cake at the end to stuff your face with=)

it could also be sad, seasonal depression. I suffer from it, I think most people do, they also call it cabin fever. Its because the days are shorter, then sun is out less, its cold or damp. I put my ipod on dance around my bedroom for an hour or so, keeps you moving.

cheers me up

I've got the winter blues forever but last year mentioned it to a doc so they checked my Vitamin D.It was 17 % of what it should be so I now have a box of winter sunshine (vit D) Am going to try 500mg of Omega three this year also as the is good clinical research that this can help to ! I also take a twenty minute walk outside if the sun is shining and am lucky to be able to get beach time on the weekends.
I'd to do the winter pruning of my hedges but those days are gone.
I agree with Gypsy Moon glitter also works wonders !

Winter weather can get you down. I also agree with Essex Debs. I would try taking some Vitamin D, which you don't get as much of during the winter (less sunlight). Hang in there! Watching Twilight also helps ;)

cheer someone ELSE up-that usually does it for me. I recently found a friend after about thirteen years of us not knowing where the other was. Now my husband doesn't mind the long distance calls because they always put me in a better mood!!
Do something nice for some else-OR just SMILE at someone else in the store, etc..the resulting smile on their face (it almost always happens) will actually cheer YOU up!
But, if all else fails, I'd say to go for Gypsy's final words: throw glitter on yourself and run!! That sure made me smile just reading it!! Thanks Gypsy!
