ahhh I hate algebra
just one bad grade wont make her TOO mad tho will it? i mean, maybe you just need some help in that subject
i was failing algebra then i went to tutoring and it made it all better [but not for my ego, mind you]

I dunno but im freaking out over this, i've also got really low B's in other subjects i always excell in, like science, so that wont help. I've bean getting barely B-'s all year. This is not good.

ur in 6th grade right?
6th grade sucks, it was the worst year for me. i was having trouble in all my subjects and other drama crap was happening...but anyways, the teachers are always REALLY hard on you because theyre 'preparing' you for the next year.
7th is sooo much easier, its really not that bad and most of that 'preparation' goes to waste anyway

there are kids who get grounded for getting B+! can you believe that? Thats taking it too far! I would killl for a B+ in pre-algebra! I havent been the hardest worker, but im trying to adjust from the change of elementary to middle. Half the year's over and i still get confused about everything!

Wait...you are taking algebra in 6th grade!? Something doesn't seem right about that....I didn't take algebra until high school...although I could have been in advanced math in 8th grade...but still! My math classes had some algebra combined...but not a whole year of algebra!! I wish I got to take algebra in 8th grade...I would have been soo much better prepared for college....I was always good at math...and I asked my teachers for help ALL THE TIME. That's probably why I was good at math. I was good at the whole x=3/y whatever stuff, but when it came to story problems...not so good. Here's what I think you should do...talk to your teachers...talk to your mom...tell her you need a little motivation...I'm sure she'll give you some ;-). Then...stay after school and do homework with your teacher (if they let you do that) then...have them look it over, explain to you why the answers were wrong...and you'll learn.

Oooh...I forgot something else...if you can't stay after school and do your homework at home...ask the teacher if you can go in early, like before classes start and have them review it...when teachers see you put in the extra effort...they are more likely to curve test scores and such...because they know you are trying your best..and see potential.

KT is right, teachers really like to see students try. I always had extra help, just because I failed the math, it didn't mean I didn't work at it. I had tutors and extra math classes. Math was just very hard for me, but the teachers were always there for me.

well, im in an advanced program thing, and we're learning more basic prealgebra. They're letting us take Algebra if we pass the Iowa test. I'm really confused about certain thing, the only thing i think i've really done well in was percentages and messing with fractions, but everything else, ehh... I do really well on our standardized tests, the TAKS, though.
