Pan's Labyrinth

I went out to watch this last night.
It was GOOD.

But because I was on my own there's nobody I can talk about it with. Anybody want to indulge me?

I love it =D saw it in drama last year and asked for it for Christmas. It's such an amazing film but the Pale Man bit terrifies me so much

Oh my god I know! I saw clips and stills of that before and I thought it looked cute.
but then it was scary and i was scared and it was awful. it got so much scarier when he stood up. HIS THIN LEGS i nearly died and then when he was eating fairies. cry cry cry cry.

i thought the mandrake root was the cutest thing i'd ever seen and i just wanted to cuddle it.

I was scared most of him when he was just sat there, not moving. It was horrific. And yeah, poor fairies =(

The mandrake WAS adorable and it makes the saddest little noise when it dies =(

I liked how the monster had eyes in its hands, and he had to put them up to his face to see! AMAZING!

I love it!

*SPOILERS*

I love the mandrake thing it was cute. I was surprised that my boyfriend bought it he isn't so into stories like these as I am but I told him how there is a lot of realism in it and it's quite brutal in places, when he breaks the guys nose omg how did they make it look real. I don't think he's watched it yet because he can't be bothered reading the Spanish. I was surprised by it because I like how it has a lot of realism in it too and you really do think that the faun is evil. The faun is actually called Pan right, they don't explain it. I like it when Mercedes stabs the commander or whatever he is, I'm always like wooo you go girl lol.

That nose thing is one scene in any film I can never look at, it just disturbs me, because to do that (I know it's not real) you have to be some sick MoFo!
In American History X eughhhhhh

I have this sick thing where i wonder what pain like that would be like...I don't watch horror films or gorey films cuz they scare me and think about the pain of it and most people would be like 'eeew' but I'm like 'eeew, i wonder what that would be like'. It's so sad when she's lying there and Mercedes cries and hums the lullaby, but then shes back alive as a princess and her mums there and its so nice Happy

I hate the bit when Mercedes slashes the guy's cheek open, then he sews it back together.

I watched it in drama class last year and was so surprised, at first everyone was like "Eurgh, don't want to watch something in Spanish, if I wanted to read I'd get a book" but they all got really into it.

This is what IMDB says:
# Guillermo del Toro said that he felt the character of Pan was too dark and sexual to play in a film opposite an eight-year-old girl. The film is only called "Pan's Labyrinth" in America, other English-speaking countries, German-speaking countries, and Scandinavia; everywhere else it's called "The Labyrinth of the Faun."

I think it's that because the Pagan god Pan was supposedly a child molester they couldn't name him that? But that is his name. If that makes sense

Why didn't they call is Labyrinth of the Faun!? Or Faun's Labyrinth, or Faun of the Labyrinth!

Faun is very dark and sexual, in a creepy way, the way he moves and his deep voice, and you always think he's up to something! 'heeere little girl have some chalk and draw a door into a creeeeepier than me monsters room thing!'

Well that's what it says in the thing above, in a lot of countries it was called The Labyrinth Of The Faun.

Yeah and it's the bit when he goes "Come here, you can trust me, just do what I say". Totally sounds like a paedophile.

My family are going out tomorrow night so methinks I shall watch it (my TV's broken)

I was quite scared when I watched it cuz I was on my own, I didn't want the faun to come visit me! OOOh and it's horrible when she opens the book and a womb appears in blood and it just bleeds cuz that's whats happening to her mum!

I just watched it again. I only noticed this time about the womb thing! Suddenly makes such sense.

It's SO SAD when the Captain holds the gun up to the dying man and the man just tries to push it away. It's really pitiful.

yeh I think it was the second time that I realised it was a womb but knew the bleeding represented her mum.
